He loves to add something new, change things up which I think is pretty evident in these completed books. Something I learned about Mackenzie over this month was that he didn’t like to work within the boundaries of what has been done before. After finishing all the prints he cut them up and assembled them into these beautiful accordion books. For weeks he laboured over his screens completing probably the most screen prints we have seen done in our shop.īut the work didn’t stop there. Mackenzie printed dozens of these images, along with marble patterns, lattice patterns, and checkerboard. His work begins with collage images of floral arrangements which are translated into halftone stencils for screen print. I am looking forward to working with the newest cohort to help them maximise their opportunities through the scaling process and reach their greatest heights.I haven’t done much CMYK screen printing before but I know the challenges and frustration that come along with the process – keeping all the dots when washing out your screen, making sure the registration is perfect, combining the right colours to create the image that you are aiming for. Members of Exchange span a wide range of tech sectors, from consumer electronics and gaming to data analytics and climate tech. So far, the scheme has supported more than 80 businesses and more than 400 individuals since 2020. Joining the growing Enterprise City community, the latest intake of businesses are the fourth cohort of firms to join the programme and will join a further 16 existing members who are continuing their journey for another six months. A total of 15 new tech start-ups will be joining Manchester’s Exchange scheme with plans to scale, grow and raise funds over the next six months, with the support of the start-up programme and its partners.
